ah. you're talking about the mode-switching functionality. I was actually pretty disappointed with that because it just changes the theme. I thought it should also change the sound profile as well. Oh well. For that I'm considering PhoneWeaver. I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet though.

Tasker is supposedly the bees knees of those sorts of apps. I just read about it yesterday.

Locale is another good one that I used. To set it up the way you want it with silent ringers and such just using myModes:

Create a Mode
Select your theme
Then go and customize your theme. Customizations include:

Wallpaper, lock screen, ringers & notifications

Once you set the ringers and notifications to "silent" then whenever you switch to it, you'll have silent notifications. Its different than the way most apps do it. Usually its define a condition and then change settings based on that condition. This is more like, define a group of settings and then define a condition that switches to it. Same end result.

I also may be able to with the Slide what I couldn't do with the Cliq XT. I'm testing the music and the quality seems MUCH higher than the Cliq. I think its very likely I can consider moving to this as my DAP. My only concern is battery life but its worth exploring.

audio is great. and the stock player kicks the crap out of my BB media player. The headphones don't suck either. Was planning on buying some when I got the phone, but I don't really see the point now. In fact, I've been using the headphones rather than a BT headset in the car. The sound is much better, it's stereo, and quite honestly, I have them on quite a bit anyways.

Tasker is CRAZY powerful. It's more of an ... not even sure what to call it. You can trigger apps and device states based on location, apps, states, events, time, and on and on. It's pretty overwhelming.
There's an intro toit at lifehacker, which I used to automatically toggle gps when I use mapping apps, and set a morning alarm with voice and a random music track. I've made a bunch of other little automatic tasks as well. So freakin' cool. Steep but short learning curve. Excellent suggestion.

So Dave, my wife thinks my white phone is girlie. Do you get any comments like that? :)

One guy thought it but I read his mind and went all Tim Tebow on him. He's still in the hospital. :D I think it has a sporty look myself.

I'll take a look at tasker but I'm not sure I need it :) I did find Grooveshark for music...this may be my new set up.
