The Zune has non-subscription, pay as you go a la carte as well - you do not need a subscription.

But they still have the dumb Microsoft Points thing. It's good in some ways - a kid without a credit card can still have an account. But why not just offer both - Microsoft Points support or the ability to buy a la carte with a credit card on the account (using dollars and cents)?

The iPod Touch and Zune 120 are completely different devices with completely different uses. If you give me $3500 then I would be happy to buy an iPod. Otherwise its an overprice piece of plastic to me. Again...for old people who have tons of music its great. For the younger generation growing up on digital music, subscription is the future.

I dislike the MS Points. Its unnecessary. But not a deal killer...its really not that much of an issue to me.

I do resent the *old* comment. I am not that old, but I do have a ton of music. But, I am not getting into the debate about which is a better product. That is purely subjective.
